Fourth of July Weekend to Include Ski Jumping, Magic, and Summer Recreation and Attractions
The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) today announced two exciting, family-friendly events taking place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Lake Placid — part of a festive Independence Day weekend in the heart of the Adirondacks.
Following Lake Placid’s beloved Fourth of July parade and fireworks over Mirror Lake on Friday, July 4, visitors can keep the celebration going on Saturday, July 5 with the Star-Spangled Ski Jump at the Olympic Jumping Complex and a spectacular evening performance by internationally acclaimed Illusionist Leon Etienne at the Conference Center at Lake Placid.

Details:
A day of live ski jumping and Nordic combined competitions from youth to elite levels, including the HS 10, HS 20, K 48, and HS 100 jumps. The event includes running and roller skiing races, an awards ceremony, and all-day family-friendly activities such as food trucks, lawn games, crafts, face painting, giveaways, and rides on the Skyride and Sky Flyer Zipline.
