A sprawling winter resort with terrain that covers 4 unique peaks. We’re most known for our long, rolling blue cruisers and as a popular location for glade skiing. Experts can shred some of the steepest terrain in the East, while freestyles are throwing down tricks in 8 unique park areas, and beginners are making their first turns.
Mt. Van Ho combines outdoor recreations with Lake Placid’s Olympic Legacy. On the sliding center side, we have a state-of-the-art combined skeleton & bobsled track and we have created North America’s longest mountain coaster, The Cliffside Coaster. On the nordic center side, we have added 4km of World Championship rate trails.
Walk through the Olympic Center and you’ll see hallways adorned with plaques and banners toting the achievements of past Olympians. You’ll find a museum filled with memorabilia, photos, and video footage from the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Games.
There’s the brand new Skyride, an eight-passenger pulse gondola to transport you up to the base of the ski jumping towers. From there is the newly-remodeled scenic elevator that takes you to the sky deck of the 120-meter ski jumping tower. With its glass exterior, the ride up gives a stunning bird’s-eye view of the ADK High Peaks.

Enjoy a scenic ride to the top of the Cliffside Coaster and learn about the inspiring Olympic history of the Lake Placid Sliding Center. Once you reach the top, you control the ride. You have the ability to go as slow or as fast as you’d like.
