The Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) will host a Matchmaker Opportunities Forum for Minority, Women and Service-Disabled Businesses at the Lake Placid Conference Center on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

What: This Matchmaker Forum provides a platform to connect Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) with corporate entities and government agencies to offer assistance and create opportunities by facilitating introductions and building capacity for diverse firms to build their businesses. This forum is a platform to help certified businesses meet goals and increase access to opportunities in construction, professional services, and more.

Matchmaking sessions at the event are opportunities to meet and engage in direct discussions with Olympic Authority contractors in pre-scheduled, ten-minute time slots. In addition to these engagement opportunities, not only will procurement representatives of the Olympic Authority be available for discussions but also in attendance to present information and answer questions on their services will be representatives of the New York State Office of General Services Division of Service-Disabled Veterans’ Business Development (SDVOB), the New York State Empire State Development Minority and Women Business Development Division (MWBE), the North Country Small Business Development Center, and the Empire APEX Accelerator.

Who: All prime contractors currently engaged with the Olympic Authority or interested in pursuing work with the organization are encouraged to attend as are all MWBE and SDVOB leaders.

Where: The event will be held in the Lake Placid Conference Center’s second floor conference rooms, located inside the Olympic Center at 2634 Main Street in Lake Placid.
