New attractions, international competitions and Olympic experiences headline year-round destination offerings in the Adirondacks
The Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) announced its 2026 summer and fall schedule at the Lake Placid Legacy Sites, featuring new visitor attractions and expanded recreational opportunities, elite international competitions, and immersive Olympic experiences across one of the nation’s most iconic mountain destinations.
New and returning attractions include the Cliffside Coaster at Mt Van Hoevenberg and major upgrades to the Hi Notch Indoor Climbing Center, which recently added a Tension Board 2 adjustable climbing wall training system. At the Olympic Center, visitors can experience a new Multi-Sport Simulator, while the Olympic Jumping Complex will once again host Soaring Saturdays and live ski jumping demonstrations, offering visitors a closer look at Olympic-level training and competition.

The season also includes marquee events such as the Season Finale of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, USA Hockey Women’s National Festival, Star-Spangled Ski Jump, Flaming Leaves Festival and Whiteface Oktoberfest, along with ski jumping exhibitions, live entertainment and enhanced guest experiences at the venues made famous during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games.
The 2026 lineup reinforces Lake Placid’s role as a year-round destination for Olympic sport, recreation and family tourism.
