Gore Mountain announces a series of major improvement and maintenance projects planned for the 2025-2026 season, all designed to enhance the guest experience and continue its development as a year-round travel destination.

After last season’s replacement of the Hudson Chair at the North Creek Ski Bowl, this year’s crews will replace the Topridge Triple Chairlift. Installed in its place will be a new Fixed Grip Quad lift, following the same footprint as the current lift but increasing total uphill capacity. Removal of the current Topridge Triple has already begun, and the installation will follow this summer, with the new lift in operation by the start of the 2025-2026 winter season. Routine maintenance will also be performed on other lifts, including replacing the haul rope on the Straight Brook Quad.

Lift towers in the base area of the Topridge Triple are awaiting removal. The installation of the new Topridge Quad will take place this summer once the old lift has been completely disassembled.

Continued upgrades to snowmaking systems are underway to ensure optimal skiing and riding conditions while also improving the systems’ energy efficiency in line with the Olympic Authority’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Aging snowmaking pipes will be replaced this summer on multiple trails, including Twister, Echo, and both Upper and Lower Sleighride. The new pipe provides system reliability, reduces the need for repairs, and increases water-carrying capacity to boost snow production when conditions are right. Other general system maintenance is ongoing across the mountain to ensure optimal performance during the season.

Pending final approvals, an additional parking lot will be constructed this summer below the current Lot G off the main access road, which will improve guest access and increase capacities by adding up to 375 new parking spaces.

At the North Creek Ski Bowl, progress continues with the new lodge, with the opening anticipated before the 2025-2026 ski season. With expanded seating, a retail shop, and a year-round, full-service restaurant and bar, the lodge will enhance the guest experience and provide a key component in transforming the Ski Bowl into a year-round destination. A central component of this transformation is the construction of a new zip coaster attraction, scheduled to begin this summer. This new, unique attraction will combine coaster-like rails with transitions to zipline cables, allowing visitors to travel up and down the mountain. The new zip coaster is expected to be operational by summer 2026.

These upgrades and maintenance projects are eagerly anticipated elements of Gore Mountain and North Creek Ski Bowl’s multifaceted vision to provide four-season activities and serve as a driver of positive economic impact for the region.
