Live Streaming During Hours of Operation at Olympic Authority Venues
Celebrate the Olympic spirit past and present by watching the 2024 Paris Summer Games live inside Lake Placid’s historic Olympic Legacy venues.
It all begins when the Opening Ceremonies kick off Friday afternoon, July 26, at 1:30 pm Eastern Standard Time. All the action of this unique and inspiring event will be streamed live at the Olympic Center in downtown Lake Placid. You’ll watch the 2024 Team USA from the same venue where the US Men’s Hockey Team stunned the world at the Miracle on Ice Game in 1980.
From that day forward, all local Olympic sites – Olympic Center, Mt Van Hoevenberg, the Olympic Jumping Complex, and Whiteface Mountain – will stream coverage direct from Paris throughout the entirety of the Games. Access to the venues is free for everyone, and live streaming of the Games will be available whenever the venues are open to the public.
Throughout the Games, the Olympic Authority will even display its own medal tracking graphic on the screens at certain times of the day. Plus, additional coverage of the Games on a Jumbotron positioned at the lacrosse fields will be provided by the Olympic Authority at various times during the Lake Placid Summit Classic lacrosse tournament July 29 through 31.
Before the coverage of the Opening Ceremonies, children attending Camp Placid will be celebrating as well, with a Parade of Nations on the Olympic Center’s James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval. The event provides local youth an opportunity to learn about the various nation’s flags, the Olympic Movement and its values, and make their own Olympic Torch replicas.
All Lake Placid visitors and local residents alike are invited to come relive iconic moments in Lake Placid’s incredible Winter Olympic history while watching the stories of today’s athletes unfold before their very eyes. Short of making the trip to Paris, this may be the most memorable way to watch this summer’s Olympic Games action.
