AriensCo to Serve as Official Snow Blower and Lawn Mower of Olympic Authority Venues
The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (Olympic Authority) announces a partnership with Ariens Company, a renowned American company with a passion for quality products, winter sports, and athlete success. Serving as the Official Snow Blower and Lawn Mower of the Olympic Authority, the Ariens brand will play a vital role in the year-round maintenance and development of world-class facilities.
Olympic Authority venues include the Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex and Mt Van Hoevenberg, as well as ski resorts at Belleayre, Gore and Whiteface Mountains. The partnership between the Olympic Authority and AriensCo aligns a shared commitment to excellence, quality, and the advancement of winter sport for individuals of all skill levels.
Additionally, AriensCo has demonstrated its commitment to winter sports through its sponsorship of the U.S. Biathlon team since 2019, a partnership with the American Birkebeiner cross-country skiing race, and other initiatives. The company’s dedication to supporting athletes and passion for winter has also led to construction of the Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion, Wis., along with other projects like the Ariens Hill at Titletown near Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
“We are excited to welcome AriensCo, a trusted company that embraces the values we prioritize in every aspect of our operations. The demanding terrain and snowy weather at our venues necessitate high-quality products, and Ariens machines consistently deliver exceptional performance and durability,” said Liz Mezzetti, the Olympic Authority’s Director of Marketing. “AriensCo has taken their quality and values into the sporting world with Ariens Nordic Center in Brillion Wis., that will be a partner property to Mt Van Hoevenberg. Combining the Olympic Authority’s history and experience with Ariens’ innovation and commitment to quality will definitely enhance the experiences for guests at our venues while promoting and upholding the shared values of our organizations.”
AriensCo has established itself as a leading manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, specializing in snow throwers and zero-turn lawnmowers. The company has a rich heritage dating back to its founding in 1933 and has become synonymous with durable and reliable equipment for both consumers and professionals.
“We are very mindful of the company we keep because it speaks volumes about the essence of the Ariens brand,” said Dan Ariens, AriensCo Chairman & CEO. “When it comes to the Olympic Authority, we see a true embodiment of sporting excellence, where the world’s finest athletes compete alongside beginners and recreational enthusiasts. Similarly, the Ariens family name is exclusively associated with reliable, long-lasting, and meticulously crafted machines that are cherished and handed down from generation to generation.”
The Olympic Authority has undergone a transformation over the last seven years, modernizing each of its facilities to meet the requirements necessary to host major international events while at the same time improving guest experiences for recreational athletes and other non-sporting guests. With a record-breaking year that saw more than 1.1 million visits at its venues in the Adirondacks and Catskills last year, the organization successfully hosted numerous high-level sporting events that included the FISU World University Games, FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, ECAC Hockey tournament, NCAA Alpine and Nordic Championships, and the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships. The combination of these elite sporting events and other year-round, day-to-day offerings resulted in a total economic impact of $341.8 million spread across communities in the North Country and Catskills. The Olympic Authority has another busy year ahead with a full ensemble of major sporting events.
