Whiteface’s Lauren Garfield Interviewed on the New England Ski Journal Basecamp Podcast
The New England Ski Journal has for 21 years provided authoritative coverage of the New England ski scene. Now, in their latest Basecamp Podcast, they turn their focus to skiing and riding at Whiteface in Wilmington and the magic of nearby Lake Placid.
In this episode of the well-known and popular podcast, Eric Wilbur and Mike Specian interview Lauren Garfield, Sales and Marketing Director at Whiteface to talk about the destination with the greatest vertical drop east of the Rockies. Joining them is also Steve Vance from the Grand Adirondack Hotel in Lake Placid.
Originally from New Jersey, Garfield has lived in the Adirondacks for nearly 30 years. She’s a life-long skier and has worked at Whiteface since 2003 after graduating from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Studies. She lives in Wilmington with her husband, dog, and two cats, where she enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, and simply wandering in the woods.
