Mt Van Hoevenberg is now offering summer activity programs in mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and rock climbing for youth of all ages.

Summer Pathfinders is a six-week program focused on introducing and developing life-long skills used on trails. Designed for children ages five through 11, participants learn the basics of mountain biking, hiking, and trail running in a supportive environment with others of their own ages and abilities. Summer Pathfinders operates on Monday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Remaining sessions include:

  • Aug 1: Mt. Bike
  • Aug 8: Hike and Run
  • Aug 15: Mt. Bike
  • Aug 22: Hike and Run

Indoor climbing programs are ongoing and build skills in a safe and comfortable environment.

  • Wee Climb is for the youngest climbers ages three through six, offered Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
  • Dynos is designed for ages seven to 12 (flexible depending on ability level) and runs Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
  • Senders is for youth ages 13 to 18 and is available every Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. This program focuses on the more technical aspects of the sport.
